01 is the chanting at the annual “founder’s day” of the town of Chiang Mai. The ceremony celebrates the founding of the city in the 12th century by PraJao Meng Rai, who wanted to found a new town worthy of his new dynasty. (similar photo next page)
02-18 contains the music of Nai Samyong, a Ranad player who converted to Christianity and determined to use his instrument to play and compose new Christian hymns. (sorry, no photos of Samyong)
